As a volunteer organization, The Bogota First
Aid depends on our community members to continue our
operations. The Squad provides all training and equipment necessary to become an
EMT. All you need is an interest in serving your community and a few hours a
week. If you are not medically inclined, the Squad also needs Associate members
to assist with our administration, fund raising, capital campaign, and community
relations. If you have any interest in becoming a member of BFAS, please
contact us to find out more!

| What's
Required? |
| Regular Members
are required to possess current CPR and EMT certifications |
| CPR for the

Many EMT classes
require CPR training prior to enrollment. The Squad highly recommends
obtaining your CPR certification as soon as possible to avoid being
excluded from an EMT class. Information on CPR classes can be found at

| The EMT Course is
typically offered as a semester long program meeting two nights a week
(with an occasional weekend day) from January - May or September -
December. These courses fill up very quickly, and the Squad recommends
early application. Alternatively, course sites for the
entire state are listed on the Department of Health website. It lists the
Training Site, startup date and contact information for the Course
Coordinator.
NOTE:
Information on courses may be announced prior to posting on the web, and
some courses are not announced over the internet. If you are looking for
an EMT class, it is best to let the Squad know so that we can update you
on course information. |
