The Borough of Bogota is seeking an experienced and organized Full-Time Assistant in the Borough’s Building Department.
The Borough is a municipality of approximately 10,000 residents (non-civil service).
Under the supervision and direction of the Bogota Construction Official the full-time assistant would manage any and all tasks associated with day-to-day business of the department.
Responsibilities include interacting with the public, processing construction permits and zoning permit applications, data entry, scheduling sub-code inspections and general assistance to the Construction Official, Technical Assistant to the Construction Official, and Building Department.
Three (3) years prior municipal or building department experience is required. Bachelor’s Degree and/or T.A.C.O. certification preferred. Salary Range is DOQ. Full-time benefits included.

The Borough of Bogota is seeking an experienced, highly organized, innovative leader to serve as the Director of Recreation.
Multi-tasking, effective communication skills and computer proficiency a must. Under the supervision of the Borough Administrator, the Recreation Director is responsible for the development, implementation and promotion of activities and community events within the Borough as well as the main point of contact to our sport/recreation associations. The Director will also be responsible for managing and maintaining recreation facilities, including allocating field time to the various organizations that use the facilities. Budget and fiscal management of the department; capital and long-range planning is also a major component of this position.
The Borough has a growing summer camp program. Camp managers will report to the Director.
Responsibilities also include supporting other administrative and municipal communication functions as needed, as well as working with our very active senior association to assist in facilitating programs and events. Candidate must be willing to work extended hours and irregular hours as required given the nature of the position (evenings and weekends). Prior municipal recreation and/or experience desired. Bachelor’s degree and recreation certifications are required.
This full-time position is available starting in February of 2026. Full-time benefits.

The Borough of Bogota is seeking a full-time New Jersey Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC).
The candidate must possess an active Registered Municipal Clerk Certification. The successful candidate will perform all statutory duties of the Municipal Clerk. Responsibilities include Records Management for the Borough, Secretary to the Governing Body, Chief Officer of Elections, Administrator of Liquor Licenses, and all other duties of the Municipal Clerk in accordance with State and Local statutes.
The RMC will be required to attend all Borough Mayor and Council meetings and work extended hours during Elections. The candidate must be capable of managing and handling a diversified workload, must be proficient in Microsoft Office/Munidex (or similar), and customer service oriented.
The preferred candidate will have at least five (5) years of municipal/government experience and two (2) years as a Deputy/Borough Clerk. Preferred candidates will possess or be open to obtaining a Registrar of Vital Statistics Certification and Notary Public License.

The Borough of Bogota, Bergen County, New Jersey, has multiple openings for part-time Senior Citizen Bus Drivers.
The qualified applicants would be responsible for transporting Seniors to and from their homes to local shops, grocery stores, and doctor’s offices. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class C with Passenger (P) endorsement, is required for this position, at the time of hiring.
The position is Per-Diem, with an hourly rate of $25.00 per hour. Benefits are excluded from this position.
